Dermal Fillers

What can I expect from dermal fillers?

Injectable hyaluronic acid based dermal fillers are a safe and effective treatment, that can revitalise the skin and add volume.
As we age, our skin naturally loses its hyaluronic acid, leading to a loss of volume and the formation of wrinkles, sagging and reduced hydration.
I use dermal fillers that are specifically designed to restore this lost volume to the treated areas. This helps smooth facial lines and wrinkles, create fuller lips and contour and revitalise the skin.
When used correctly, it can help to achieve a beautifully natural looking result which doesn’t affect facial expression.
The result of a single treatment can be seen instantly and can last around 6-18 months, depending on the area injected, before the hyaluronic acid is broken down by the body.

Dermal Fillers FAQs

What are dermal fillers?

These are injectable treatments that can help to smooth out wrinkles, add volume to areas of the face and enhance facial features. They are made from a variety of materials, including hyaluronic acid, which is the most common. Dermal fillers provide a safe and effective non-surgical solution to achieving a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.

What can dermal fillers help to improve?

At Daisy Aesthetics, we can use dermal fillers to help several areas, including augmenting the lips and enhancing the cheekbones.

An initial consultation is always essential to help decide for which areas of your face dermal fillers may be appropriate. They can also be used for nasolabial folds, lines and wrinkles.

Will dermal filler placement be painful?

Local anaesthetic is applied to the area to be treated to help minimise pain or discomfort. The procedure can cause some discomfort but most patients find the procedure tolerable.

How much do dermal fillers cost?

Lip Filler up to 0.7ml £250

Lip Filler up to 1 ml £300

Cheek Filler up to 1ml £300

This can depend on the type of filler used and the area treated. Generally, they can last from 6-18 months, with some lasting up to 2 years

What should I expect after dermal filler treatment?

After dermal filler treatment, patients may experience some redness, swelling or bruising at the injection site. These side effects are usually mild and subside within a few days. Patients can typically resume normal activities immediately after treatment

Can dermal fillers be reversed?

Yes, hyaluronic acid dermal fillers can be reversed using an enzyme called hyaluronidase. This can help to dissolve the filler and reduce unwanted effects.
