I will plan your treatment to allow maximum comfort. 

These are the steps:

1) Applying an anaesthetic cream to the area to be treated. 

2) A gentle enzymatic peel to prepare the skin is applied. 

3) Your chosen serum is applied on the surface and the precise microneedling device is used to stimulate collagen production and promote healing. 

4) Finally, a calming medical grade face mask is applied to the skin.

Unlike some other procedures, microneedling treatment needs no downtime, allowing you to return to your daily routine with no delay. You may experience a little redness and swelling around the treated area, which usually disappears within 24-48 hours. It’s not uncommon to have skin flaking around days 3-5 following the treatment.

Your skin will see improvements after one session, but I advise my patients to have a course of 3 sessions spaced every 4 weeks for optimal results. Maintenance treatments are recommended to maintain collagen production and improvements in skin quality. These may be yearly, we can discuss what may work best for you at your consultation.

Before treatment, it is important that you avoid the following:

• Topical creams, including retinoids (vit A), exfoliants and topical antibiotics 5-7 days before treatment. They may increase your skin’s sensitivity.

• Accutane for 6 months prior to treatment.

• Anti-inflammatory medications like ibuprofen for 3 days before treatment.

• Laser treatments, tanning beds and sun exsposure for 2 weeks prior to treatment

Avoid shaving on the day of your treatment.

• Avoid wearing make-up for 24 hours.

• Avoid touching the skin with your hands until the pores have had a chance to close. Any redness should subside over a 24-36 hour period.

• Gently wash the treated areas on the same day, but do not rub or massage the face for 2 weeks. 

• Refrain from extreme temperatures such as saunas, sunbeds for a period of at least 2 weeks after treatment.

This treatment may not be suitable if you have active acne, wound-healing issues, an active infection, or are pregnant/nursing.

Anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers do not improve the quality of skin. Anti-wrinkle injections reduce muscle contraction to prevent lines getting deeper and dermal fillers improve volume loss.
