What are Polynucleotides (PNs)?

PNs are bio-stimulators, substances that stimulate other cells, and are made up of ultra-purified DNA fragments. They are a new injectable anti-ageing treatment for the skin.

PNs are the latest revolutionary tool in regenerative medicine, working at a cellular level to repair skin tissue and boost skin quality on the face.

How do they work?

PNs target the cells that produce collagen and elastin, and this promotes skin hydration and collagen production.

PNs protect against free radicals, the unstable molecules which accelerate skin ageing.

PNs help build up the extra cellular matrix (ECM). The ECM is a large network if proteins and molecules which surround and support cells to give them structure, which is also so important for healthy skin.

After around the age of 25, our bodies start to slow down the production of collagen, leading to a loss of elasticity within the skin and the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

Because PNs collagen and elastin production, it’s like teaching your skin cells to work like they did when you were younger, resulting in smoother, tighter and younger looking skin.

They work as a regenerative tool and are different from skin boosters, which have no regenerative action.

How do I know if it’s right for me?

If you want smoother, tighter and younger looking skin on the face and neck.

If you suffer with:
Pigmented skin
Crepey skin
Dark under eye circles
Lines and wrinkles that can’t be helped by anti-wrinkle injections (Botox)

They are also invaluable for those who have not been suitable candidates for tear trough filler.

Treatment helped to improve the appearance of this patient’s cheek area, where she was conscious of a crepey, dehydrated skin texture and lines at rest.

It also helped reduce areas of hyperpigmentation, caused by sun damage.

What would be the treatment regime?

PNs can be provided in an isolated single session, but best results are gained from a course of three sessions (one every three weeks). I will review your progress at 6-9 months.

Will I be amazed by the results immediately?

PNs will not give the instant gratification that dermal filler will, because the changes are happening at a cellular level to improve the skin quality. So, it will take weeks to notice the wonderful results, but it is worth the wait.

Are there any side effects of treatment?

Side effects are minimal depending on the injection technique used. As with any injection, patients can expect slight redness and swelling following treatment, which settles after 1-2 days. No serious adverse events have been reported.

Can it be used alongside other treatments?

Yes. PNs can be offered as stand alone treatments or used in combination with any other procedure such as dermal fillers, botulinum toxin, PRP and radiofrequency treatments.

Is treatment safe?

Yes. Results from multiple clinical studies for the PNs we use all have fantastic outcomes.

Who should avoid polynucleotide treatment?

Those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

This treatment does not need to be avoided in cases of fish allergy.

Which brand of polynucleotide is used?

Mastelli Pilnest and Mastelli Newest.
